This little chick with the crown, the eggs and the toy are some of Linda's creations. She and her husband Ludmill are the proprietors of the famous Willow Nest. They have been feature in various national magazines. They are both such a sweet and humble couple. They are both artists in their own mediums and so inspiring to me.
This pink hat I trade with a friend for a black victorian purse. The velvet millinery flowers look like dried hydrangeas.
A different shot of the grouping. The wire thingy is a wire body-form to which Linda added trims and pieces of pink fabric.
Those pink eggs are the most beautiful shade of pink. I bought another jar full of robins egg color ones. I think I'm going to color match both colors for some of the furniture.
The pink lamp, isn't georgeous. I need to rewire it but I love that shade and the fact that it is in such good shape.
Last but not least, the baby, have you seen a sweeter face? The scoop in her is such a happy event for me. My friend Krista is in the process of closing her antique business. I have admired and drooled over her for months, I just didn't have the money to splurge. Wednesday we met at her store and as she walked towards me I noticed the baby in her hand. She put her in my arms like you would a real baby and just gave her to me!!!!! I'm a happy mama now, proud mom of a sweet little girl that needed a new home. Krista, thank you, I do not deserve all the kindness that you and Shawn have bestowed upon me. I will considered myself blessed if I get to keep you and your family as my friends for ever. Love you before the doll, love you always.
I called this pretty thing a toy because I can not remember the name, not even in Spanish!
Love the tag and the pretty french ribbon, details that make this even more special.
Last, some beautiful trims in the most beautiful shade of pink. I'm dreaming pillows, with little pleated ruffles and some of this trims.
I'm very excited about tomorrow. We are going to one of the sales I look forward to attend. Spring is coming and with that happy treasure hunting days ahead. This is the time of the year when I get most of my inventory. I will post and share my finds with you all. The friends close to my shop, come on by one of this days. Thanks to our host Ms. Beverly for so faithfully continue to oversee over this party. She have a list of the rest of the pinky friends in her blog HOW SWEET THE SOUND. Blessings, Marta.
