I'm insane

Have you seen the show HOARDERS?  I'm in it, just joking, but to a smaller degree I'm a hoarder too. I have a milion collections and at the store I wish I can keep it all. Beauty attracts me... a lot. Then again it doesn't have to be beautiful since some of the stuff is really junk but if I like it I will find beauty in it. I sometimes buy stuff because it got good bones. Then the projects start to pile and before you know it you have a couple of buildings full of "treasures" . Been gifted pose a problem too. I like to dab into everything. I love sewing, upholstery, painting and making pretties. I have seen some of the artists and some of the magazines (Where women create) which make me feel like I'm more delusional than gifted. Such beautiful rooms, soo organized, soo beautiful. I have more crafting material than I can fit in ten buildings and it is so disorganized that everytime that I look for stuff I have to look so hard that I either give up or ended so tired that I just don't. Somebody told me that is called creative mess. I don't know.
Let's talk buttons. I spend 500.00 dollars in buttons some months back. Big buyers remorse. Yes, I have sold some, reluctanly.

Custom jewerly, yummy, broken jewerly, yummy. Do I want to use it in my crafts? No

Ephemera, LOVE, old pictures, old books, documents, post cards, letters, journals, etc, bring it on!
This is not pretty but is my idea and as close I will ever get to some kind of organization. I used jewerly and shoe racks to "organize my stuff. I love them because I can see the stuff. The bad thing is that they are hanging right now over every single door.  The pictures are upside down.Argg!

I spend last Thursday coffee staining fabrics and lace. I can't wait to make some of those altered collage pillows. I used a tension curtain rod in my guest bathroom. The stuff is still hanging there plus the stains on the bathtub. The bathroom smell like coffee but I have been lucky, my husband got a cold and can't smell a thing. I better get to the mess before he does.

So, for my costumers that ask me all the time if my house looks like the shop, here is my answer: I wish
We live there and I don't have a craft room in the house so crafting at home equals BIG MESS.
Creative chaos, that is the best description. Let's talked messy, how messy are you or you are not messy at all. Please share, I take suggestions, interventions and rehab if deemed necessary. Blessings, Marta.
PD  We went junking to San Antonio this past weekend, wait till you see what we found. Photos later.

I am soooo messy!! I had a baby last 9 months ago, so I have not had time to be creatively messy for quite a while, but I desperately need to figure out some organization solutions! I am drooling over the photos of your buttons and vintage jewelry, by the way!

Dianne, I'm both a hobbyist and a stuffer. Sue, sadly to said and admit having a craft room in my case probably will not make a difference. I'm messy. Mercy!. Blessings, Marta.

I fantasize about have a craft room I can play in. I get these great ideas, and then I either forget to get or loose an important piece! For example, last week I decided I'd go back to jewelry making. Sat down to craft and realized I had no jump rings or bails. Sigh...

I love the pictures as always Marta! Can't wait to see what you bought last weekend!

Hi Marta...I wandered over from Terry Lee's blog and just thought I'd tell you that I'm a hoarder too and I don't have a craft room, so everything gets put in boxes and then I forget about it. Ugh...I need me a room!

Love all your stuff...

Hugz,
Michele
