My favorite pink china

When I first started participating in Pink Saturday I blog about the fact that I love china, anything decked with roses and with lots of pink. I own several sets of china but my forever fav is The Staffordshire Rose by Myott Staffordshire, England. I fell in love with it about 15 years ago and it have taken me that long to collect what I have.I have never seen the coffee and tea pots. I can imagine that if in fact there are any out there the price is probably unreal. I was told that this pattern was chosen by Queen Victoria. The Staffordshire Rose was last fire in 1936. You can find pieces with and without the royal stamp on them. I have been so fortunate that most of my pieces have the royal code of arms stamp plus the royal crown stamp. Most pieces will have some creasing been so old. I love that patina. I should have taken a picture of the seals in the back of the pieces, I forgot.

I will leave  bids on Ebay and will never win, that went on for 10 years!. Talking about patience, I came across the double handled soup bowls in one of my first trips to Canton. I found 10 of the soup bowls there for 18.00 a piece. That was a major score since they retail for up to 40.00 each.

Yummy

Don't you think food will taste even better if served on this?

I will pair the china with my pink Hobnail and Fostoria Depression glasses.

The gravy boat was one of the last pieces I have added to the collection. I believe I paid about 30.00.

Of course there is never enough of a good thing... so I added the green to my collection. I own a
lot of pieces of green glass so it make all the sense to me. There is robins egg blue too. I do not own any blue since I don't use a lot of blue in my house.

One of this days I will set up the table for you since I have pink silverware too.

Oh! I forgot to tell you about the 10 years worth of lost bids on Ebay. Sometime ago somebody have a set for four dinnerware of the pink. They did not know what it was or the value so to them it was just pink china. They started the bid low and guess what, moi won...SCORE!!!!! I paid 150.00. The retail value to a collector, about 800.00. Good things happen to those who wait.
My dear pinky friends I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do. The dishes are priceless to me. Maybe Queen Victoria ate in one of my dishes. Don't forget to visit the other pinky friends, I love your comments and will try my best to respond to yours. Thank you to Ms, Beverly @ How sweet the sound for hosting the funnest event for all of us pinky girls. Blessings, Marta

Oh Marta Sweetie...
Happy Pink Saturday. These dishes are absolutely beautiful. (Both pink and green.) The hobnail glasses sure did catch my eye. I love the look of that glass. So beautiful.

I thank you for sharing. Oh my gosh what a deal you got on the dishes, and then for them to arrive and none be broken? That is a miracle in itself, as they would be priceless, and could not be replaced.

Have a beautiful day sweetie. Please stop by and let me share my pink post with you. Country hugs...Sherry

Marta,
I love your pink dishes so much! And that double handled soup is divine! Lucky you to have so much of this beautiful wonder. Good for you!!! I just took Noel down for a change from my winter scene. I enjoyed her so much. I forgot to show her with her Valentines but, next year. Now, I put a blue dotted swiss dress that used to belong to me on her & want to do a Easter vignette with her.

Thank you for your sweet words about my precious Reba. I do think she was a truly a fur angel here on earth & now she will wait for me in a much better place. In the meantime...THE HOUSE SCREAMS WITH QUIET! Her rugs are still there, the food bowl gone but, SHE is everywhere I look... yet no where to be found. My heart is broken & I feel so ALONE! Thank you for your friendship. Charlene

Okay, so I was just blog hopping and saw on And What Knots that you have a both at an antique mall or something like that... If you have the time I would love to ask you some questions about that, I have been considering doing something like that with my husband and selling refinished furniture and re-purposed things... I am just not sure how well they would do.. anyway, we are all busy if you don't have the chance I understand. Thanks!
