Oh loneliness

Ok, I must be sucking at this. Nobody is talking to me, so I'm sad. Aside from that if it wasn't for the creative bloggers out there ( Ms. Beverly @PS and Ms. Kathleen @ WW) I might not have too much to talk about. My pictures are terrible, I don't know much about adding gadgets to my blog so my look is too simple, nothing spectacular (unlike The Feathered Nest) I want to be like Theresa From Vintage Garden Antiques when I grow up. I want a cult with FOLLOWERS. That is a joke around my house. I celebrate every follower I get out loud, so the other day my brother overheard the word followers and ask me if I was starting a cult. Then again be careful what you wished for. I came home to 39 comments some weeks ago and figure out there was not a humanly possible way to visit and leave comments to every one and that makes me feel sad. I read all my comments and will love to have the time to reply, but I simply don't have the time. Most of my post are finished around midnight and my husband is not understanding what is the deal with blogging. Anyway all this blah, blah is about me trying to figure out the blogging thing. It supposed to be fun, so we will see. To the friends that have stopped by THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Blessings, Marta.

Hi Marta,
Like you, I am not a computer whiz..and my blog is simple as well. I do enjoy blogging, having visitors and reading their comments. But I also enjoy visiting, and have one really favorite visiting day..that Vintage Things Thursday with Suzanne @ Coloradylady. It's ever so much fun to see all the vintage things..but again, there's time spent leaving comments. I really rush to get everything done,so I can visit about. I hope you find some time for visiting, it's ever so much fun to meet and make new friends. I,like you, celebrate each follower of mine..I'm a follower of yours and like your blog..and will try and visit to leave a comment more often. Hope you have a lovely weekend, come visit when you can. xx CC

Don't feel to sad, I often have few visitors and I am not the best with words . Bogging and reading and answering is time consuming and I know guys don't understand ..it's not football. Just enjoy and get some new ideas and maybe a new friend or two..... takes time and we have other things we must do with family. Elaine

Oh Marta

Please don't feel that way, I've been reading, but haven't had much time to comment. I love reading and learning about you as you share your life.

Enjoy your day!

Oh Marta, I am pretty new at this also. I am doing this for me! I have met some wonderful people but I don't have that many followers either. Keep going, find your voice, join up with blogging parties it helps to get new people to check out your Blog. If you aren't enjoying it then don't do it! I love it but if the day comes and it is a burden then I won't do it.

I will be more than happy to visit with you! Don't feel guilty if you don't have time to do a lot of blogging, it's supposed to be fun, not stress you out. Add me to your cult!

Martha... it's a slow process in the beginning... I use to think "if you build it they will come"... and they will.. just post about what you like when you feel the need... and they will come... I promise!

hugs. Dixie

Marta~

It was really slow for me when I first began too and I had considered not even doing it, but I think you need to be true to yourself and post what you are interested in, if only for yourself. Did you notice uI added the MckLinky list to my last WW post? If your name is on there people will click on it and check you out. I think thelist on my sidebar got too long and too many weren't posting so people weren't taking the time to look through it anymore.

I loved all the lace on your last post. Beautiful!

Hang in there.

Kathleen

Boy O Boy...Do I completely understand where you are coming from...my husband doesn't understand this blogging stuff either & honestly, I'm not sure what to expect from it either. I'm not computer smart...I just thought it would be fun, which it is, but at the same time I think, why am I doing this? It's not like I have this big following, I just have ideas, however, I haven't figured out. I'm going to try & hang in there...I would be proud to be in you 'cult'. Keep it up...you blog looks great!

Aw, Marta! I am sorry you are feeling discouraged. I started blogging again last week, and I"ve done 4 posts. I've gotten one comment so far. I think a lot of people read but don't comment. Maybe put a tracker on so you can see the hits you get? I have a love/hate relationship with my feedjit tracker I have on mine. I get a LOT of hits from people googling "funny kitties" because I posted a picture over a year ago. Oh well.
I've got to come visit again! I talked to the guy that has the antique mall in Salado the other day, he said you'd just been in and you were a sweetie! Then last night a friend of mine told me I should check out this antique shop called "Marta's Room", I just cracked up! Told her I'd just found you last week :)

Marta, Just do and write what you love. Don't worry about who and who doesn't read or look. (Most people look and don't comment) Just consider it your diary. I have enjoyed your stories and photos. Keep it up! Susan
